At Glen Derwent, you can stay in one of our self-contained cottages or camp on the grounds in your own caravan or RV.
Tank Cottage was built in the mid to late 1800s. The eastern half of the cottage was originally a water tank. The cottage has a king bed and a single bed upstairs. Downstairs is a bathroom, lounge with fireplace, dining room and kitchenette. The small back yard is fenced and the cottage and its back yard are dog-friendly.
Master’s Stable cottage was once a horse’s stable. It’s a tiny cottage that’s big on character and comfort. It has a king or twin beds upstairs and kitchenette, small living space and bathroom downstairs. The yard is fenced and the cottage and its yard are dog-friendly.
Powered and unpowered caravan and RV sites are in our grounds and paddocks. All campers must be self-contained caravans or RVs with their own toilet and shower facilities. No amenities provided other than a limited number of sites with access to 15 amp power. Town water supply is available to fill tanks.
Our cottage and camping guests are welcome to explore the outbuildings and 12 acres of gardens, grounds, ponds and paddocks. The ponds of Glen Derwent are home to native moorhens, ducks, fish and occasionally black swans and even platypus. In the day time, sharing the grounds with you are our resident chooks, ducks and peafowl and at night the possums and bandicoots.
Onsite tea rooms are currently open on Saturdays and Sundays for Devonshire teas and High teas.
