It is local folklore that the return of the Welcome Swallow to farms and barns of the Derwent Valley signals the first true days of spring. A welcome sight indeed! Sunshine in the fields and beer begins to grow.

We lovingly craft our beer with passion in limited 800 litre batches. Much less by the time it is ready for your enjoyment…. our beers are hand packaged, hand labelled and truly hand crafted. The small batch size allows us the freedom to explore our creative limits, incorporating never ending flavour possibilities.

Nestled in the heart of The Derwent Valley, The Welcome Swallow Brewery is at the source of one of the best hop growing regions in the world. We love hops. In fact, we love all our ingredients and go the extra mile by farming our own hops and fruit for our special seasonal releases.
