Create Do & Mend is the little sister of The Arthouse New Norfolk, a Cafe, Gallery and creative space opened by David and Nicky in March 2021.

Born from a love of art, community, and the simple joy of making, Create Do & Mend opened its doors in December 2024 to expand on everything we loved about our first venture—adding even more colour, craft, and creativity to the Derwent Valley.

Our mission is simple: to contribute to the already rich and vibrant arts community here in the Valley. We believe in the power of making—whether it’s painting, stitching, sculpting, fixing, or building.

We believe creativity brings people together, and we’re here to make that happen in as many ways as we can.

At Create Do & Mend, you’ll find a curated range of art and craft supplies, it’s also home to a growing program of workshops, classes, and community events for all ages and abilities—from beginners to experienced makers.

We’re proud to now offer online shopping and online bookings for our classes and workshops, making it easier than ever to connect, learn, and create—no matter where you are.
